According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Dakota Morris, 18 of Cameron was driving a 2005 Ford Focus eastbound on 36 Highway about one mile north of Easton around 10:30 a.m. when he reportedly fell asleep. The crash report said Morris then attempted to avoid hitting a tractor-trailer, over-corrected causing the vehicle to rotate and hit the tractor trailer in the rear with its left side.

Morris was taken by private vehicle to Mosaic Life Care for treatment of what was described as a minor injury.
