Eight people have stepped forward as candidates for the open seat on the St. Joseph School District Board of Education.

The board approved that list of candidates and a timeline for the replacement of former board member Chris Danford, who resigned in February.

The candidates who filed with the board are:
Margaret “Maggie” Elder
Dale Krueger
Aaron Duncan
Larry Koch
Jim Norris
Susan Willenbrink
John Hickman
Kenneth Reeder

The board plans to review and interview candidates during meetings later this month, and vote to select the new board member in April.
