Mailman hospitalized after rear-end crash

DEKALB COUNTY — One person was injured in an accident just after 12:30p.m. Thursday in DeKalb County. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 1991 Chevy 1500 driven by Marshall C. Kennedy, 17, Cameron and a 1995 Jeep Cherokee driven by James D. James, 50, Maysville, were southbound on Route C just south of Grindstone Road.

Kennedy failed to yield and rear-ended the Jeep that was stopped delivering mail at an address. Cameron EMS transported James to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Kennedy was not injured. Both drivers were properly restrained at the time of the accident, according to the MSHP.
