Sting operation garners child enticement bust

An Alabama man is facing charges for attempting to solicit someone he believed was a 16-year-old girl in an undercover sting operation conducted by the Platte County Sheriff’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit. Thomas Taylor communicated with an undercover officer posing as a teenager through a commercial sex website and agreed to meet her at a gas station in central Platte County. Taylor was taken into custody when he arrived at the location, and authorities found a pink Red Bull in his possession. He is charged with attempted enticement of a child and faces a $150,000 cash-only bond.
