LIVINGSTON COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before 2p.m. Sunday in Livingston County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported a 2026 Volvo semi driven by a man from Canada was eastbound on U.S. 36 one mile east of Wheeling behind a 1981 John Deere Tractor driven by a 64-year-old Meadville man. The semi began to follow too closely and attempted to overtake the tractor. The right front of the semi rear-ended the tractor.
After impact the tractor overturned. A private vehicle transported the tractor driver to Hedrick Medical Center. The semi driver was not injured. The MSHP no longer releases names of accident victims.
