
DEKALB COUNTY —One person was injured in an accident just before noon Wednesday in DeKalb County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a 2017 Cadillac XTS driven by a 74-year-old Maysville man was westbound on U.S. 36 at taylor Road two miles west of Stewartsville. The vehicle traveled off the north side of the highway, struck a Chevron sign, a field fence and a tree.
DeKalb-Clinton County ambulance transported the driver to Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. He was properly restrained, according to the MSHP. The Patrol no longer releases names of accident victims.
