Missouri Western State University and Community Action Partnership St. Joe have partnered to expand the Head Start facility on the university’s campus, providing more opportunities for local children and hands-on learning for students. The Head Start programs focus on children’s development and offer services related to health, nutrition, and social support. The collaboration aims to address the need for high-quality childcare in St. Joseph and give students practical experience in education, nursing, social work, and psychology. Community director Kayla Marmud highlighted the benefits of the partnership, emphasizing the positive impact on both children and students.
