The Show Me Green Tax Holiday returns later this month, giving Missourians the chance to save cash on new appliances and stoking the economy of the state.
Missouri state sales tax will be waived on certain Energy Star certified appliances, such as clothes washers and dryers, dishwashers, air conditioners and refrigerators. The tax waiver applies to the first $1500 spent on each appliance.
“All Missouri cities, counties, and districts participate in the appliance sales tax holiday,” said Missouri’s Director of Revenue Trish Vincent. “This event not only encourages Missourians to be energy minded but it also contributes to increased revenues for local businesses across the state who sell these appliances.”
