The long-awaited express lanes on 69 Highway in Overland Park, Kansas, are set to open this Saturday after a three-year wait. The project was celebrated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, with officials emphasizing the benefits of cashless tolling and the use of K-TAG for reduced toll rates. The express lane will run from 103rd Street to 151st Street and offer drivers a faster option for their commute. With over 80,000 vehicles using the corridor daily, the new lanes aim to alleviate congestion and improve traffic flow in the area.
