Maryville’s Parks and Recreation Assistant Director, Maggie Rockwood, has been announced as the next director, taking over from retiring Director Jeff Stubblefield. Stubblefield has been training Rockwood for the past two years and believes she is ready for the role. Rockwood, a Maryville native, has been with MPR since 2019 and has worked in various departments, aiming to become the director. She plans to focus on maintaining and expanding MPR’s facilities and programs, including potentially building a new Aquatic Center.
