Will a new development be the Plaza of Northland KC

A $2.3 billion development project called Pioneer Crossing is set to transform a 400-acre plot of land owned by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Northland area of Kansas City. The project aims to create a vibrant hub for retail, entertainment, and housing, with plans for over 1,000 residences and 1 million square feet of retail space. The development, led by Land Reserve Inc., will include a mix of residential units, retail and restaurant space, a hotel, office buildings, entertainment venues, and sports facilities. Infrastructure improvements are needed before construction can begin, with the project expected to create thousands of jobs and attract major retailers to the area.
