The city of Hiawatha Kansas will host its annual Citywide Clean-up Day on May 9th at the City Public Works property. Residents can drop off one pickup load, carload, or single-axle trailer load per household from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Contractors are not allowed, and proof of residency is required. Additionally, the city is offering curbside pickup of one bulk item per household if residents call City Hall by May 7th. Items not accepted include household trash, leaves, grass clippings, tires, paint, oil, hazardous materials, and materials with Freon, except for appliances.
