Help designed for Missouri residents who may have difficulty communicating with police

Missourians may soon have the option to add a designation to their driver’s license and license plates indicating limited ability to communicate with police officers. The House passed legislation to create this designation, which would not be physically displayed to protect privacy. The designation is intended for individuals with disabilities or health conditions, and a doctor must certify the condition. Family members can also apply for the designation on behalf of a loved one. The bill now moves to the Senate for consideration.
