National Kids to a Park Day is May 16th, and St. Joseph’s Parks and Recreation and Missouri Department of Conservation are set to host a fishing event for all ages at Corby Pond.
Fishing gear will be provided, as well as instruction on fishing basics from MDC.
It’s also the first stop for the city’s Parks Passport, a way to get out and enjoy parks and playgrounds in the city.
The Department of Conservation does ask that anglers wear closed-toed shoes, and anyone under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
The fishing event runs from 11 AM-2 PM.
